Applicant Requirements

Thank you for your interest in employment with the Marengo County School District. Prior to being recommended for employment, background clearance through the Alabama State Department of Education must be obtained. Certified applicants must apply online through the Alabama State Department of Education’s website. Classified applicants may apply online or submit a paper application.

In order to be considered for an interview, Marengo County School District requires the following attachments for all certified and classified applicants: 

CERTIFIED

  • Copy of driver’s license
  • Copy of social security card
  • Copy of teaching certificate or proof of eligibility for a teaching certificate
  • Official college transcripts indicating all coursework and degree conferral date from regionally accredited colleges/universities 

CLASSIFIED

  • Copy of driver’s license
  • Copy of social security card
  • Copy of high school diploma or equivalent

Hours of Operation:   Monday - Friday   8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
