CREDIT RECOVERY (GRADES 7-12)

The Marengo County School District will offer Credit Recovery
for students in grades 7-12.

What is Credit Recovery?

Credit recovery is an option that allows students who have been unsuccessful in mastering particular content or skills an opportunity to apply for Credit Recovery as an alternative to repeating the entire course.Students are eligible to apply for Credit Recovery if the final grade earned in a course required for graduation was between 40 or above.

Course Information

Edgenuity will be used for all courses grades 7-12 A maximum of 2 credits must be earned before July 12, 2024 Only Core courses, Health and Career Prep will be offered Credit recovery courses are not available for NCAA athletes. NCAA Athletes must take Course Recovery to meet the NCAA-approved core course requirement.

 

S'MORE LEARNING (GRADES K-5)

The Marengo County School District will offer Summer Learning f
or students in grades K-5.

What is our Elementary Goal?

Our goal for students in K-5 is to gain substantial growth in reading and math through direct, explicit, systematic, and targeted instruction. Students will receive high quality instruction in the science of reading and math through whole group, small group and intervention.

How are Students Selected?

Student selection will be based on students with consistent reading and math deficiencies, those that hold a student reading improvement plan, missed the ACAP cut off score of reading and or scored in the red on state approved assessment (grades K-3 Amplify and grades K-5 iReady Math).

 

Transportation will not be provided for Grades 7-12

Lunch will be served. Nurses: Site Locations based upon student need
